To be fair, the easy part actually comes after you find worthwhile sites that carry clothing you want and have competitive pricing.

So, I’ve decided to make a little guide to finding designer clothes online. Maybe this will introduce you to a new site or just serve as a reminder that you need to visit that favorite site you’ve been neglecting for some shopping therapy.

The Usuals: Norstrom.com, NeimanMarcus.com, SaksFifthAvenue.com

• Pros: You will be able to find clothing from almost any designer imaginable, so you won’t spend a huge amount of time searching, unless you like online window shopping.
• Cons: You will be paying full price for these designer duds, large department stores have huge markups.
• Shipping: These sites charge anywhere from $8.95 to $21.95 for delivery. If you sign up for their newsletters, you will receive special “free shipping” offers from time to time, but these will require minimum spending of $150 or more.
• Bottom Line: If you are pressed for time and need to find the right outfit fast or if you are not on a budget, go for it!

Overstock.com

• Pros: You can find cheap deals on designer clothes every day, from CK to Michael Kors. Great customer service based on online reviews.
• Cons: Less clothing selection than sites dedicated solely to fashion, since they also sell furniture etc.
• Shipping: Probably the best shipping deal available online, $2.95 is all you will pay, no matter where you live or how big your order is! Overstock.com also occasionally offers $1 shipping specials.
• Bottom Line: Check this site regularly for new items and you are sure to find designer clothes you like for cheap.

BlueFly.com

• Pros: More designers available than other discount clothing sites- we’re talking over 700. BlueFly also features frequent sales offering 50-75% off.
• Cons: Sometimes trends are a little late in making it to the site. You might not find the latest fashions
• Shipping: Standard is $7.95 and expedited is $14.95. Pretty average for online clothing retailers.
• Bottom Line: This is is a standard discount designer store (not our favorite or least), so if you’re trying to shop online, you might as well make this one of your stops.
